Welcome to EYFS!
EYFS at Measham focuses on building strong communication and language skills. We learn through a mixture of playing together, focused learning activities, our role play areas as well as exploring our outdoor provision! This half term we are looking at animals and their habitats and will be finding out about how animals are adapted to live in different places, exploring "How do Animals Live in the Wild?". We will be reading lots of stories such as Rumble in the Jungle, Meerkat Mail and Be Brave Little Penguin! In Maths we are exploring numerical patterns, exploring shape and applying our number skills in games! We will also be considering how to look after a pet, think about seaside holidays and also prepare ourselves for the changes that we will find in Year 1! Reminders: PE will take place on Wednesday as well as Smartmoves sessions on a Tuesday morning. Please make sure your child comes to school in their PE kit on a Wednesday. Bring in your named water bottles each day. Remember not to bring any toys into school - we will supply all that is needed. Don't forget a reading book - or you can borrow one from the library.
